[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he much anticipated zombie survival game Dying Light has had one hell of a week. It recorded 1.2 million individual players in its first week of release. It should be noted that this release is only in North America, with physical releases coming to the rest of the world later this month. For an industry that is already rife with astronomical numbers, this is still a huge success. The number of players was calculated across all 3 release platforms, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The game received solid, if unimpressive reviews from most gaming outlets. Most scores hovered around a 7/10 with criticisms of easily avoidable mistakes in plot and gameplay. Where a game of this nature can really shine is in the continued support and add-ons of DLC. If implemented with quality and care, Dying Light can keep gamers coming and engaged for long to come.

Here is the release trailer for Dying Light in case you missed it.
