[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he trailer developer Giant Sparrow released for What Remains of Edith Finch is uniquely self aware in the sense that it tells the audience ‘…a lot of this won’t make a lot of sense, and I’m sorry about that. So I’ll just start at the beginning.’ The game, which has a title more fitting of a novella, looks intriguing to say the least. Giant Sparrow has said the game will put players in the shoes of different cursed family members and their experiences leading up to their deaths/murders.
Edith Finch will be a first-person game that tells a collection of short-stories ranging from the early 1900’s to present day. The different stories in the game will provide widely varying experiences, as the members of the family are no two alike. What Remains of Edith Finch will take place in Washington State and was inspired by growing up in Washington State and being surrounded by forests, mountains and oceans where nature often feels both beautiful and unsettling’.
What remains of Edith Finch is set to release at some point in 2016, and will be available exclusively on PS4. Enjoy the trailer below!
