It’s time to du-du-du-du-du-dddddddd-duel!
Yu-Gi-Oh! is back. Well, really just the original voice actors of the anime’s English dub.
That’s right, the manga/anime/trading card game/thing every Pokemon kid pretended to hate is bringing back the English dub voice actors of the two lead characters for the new film, Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions.
It was confirmed on the official Yu-Gi-Oh! Facebook fan page that Dan Green and Eric Staurt, voice actors of Yugi and Kaiba respectively, of 4Kids dub fame will reprise their roles for the upcoming film.
Check out the trailer below.
The Dark Side of Dimensions, which already premiered in Japan earlier this year, takes place a year after Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, and sees Yugi and the Pharaoh dueling Kaiba, as well as a mysterious new threat. The film celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, and was even written by series creator Kazuki Takahashi. In a way, this is the Yu-Gi-Oh! equivalent of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods, except nobody cares.
Ok, all jokes aside, we’re pretty nostalgic about Yu-Gi-Oh!, and we’re excited to hear Yugi and Kaiba one more time.
Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions debuts internationally in 2017.
