Janet Snakehole is one of the latest additions to Legion.
Legion, the upcoming X-Men spinoff series set to debut on FX, has begun to cast its major roles. Most notably, Aubrey Plaza has been cast in the role of Lenny.
Aubrey Plaza has recently appeared in the film Dirty Grandpa, but she is best known for her role as the deadpan intern-turned government employee, April Ludgate from Parks and Recreation.
April also occasionally went by her alter-ego, Janet Snakehole.

Legion will be based off the comic series of the same name, and will follow David Haller, the estranged son of Professor Xavier, who’s multiple personality disorder allows him to have multiple mutant powers.
Lenny, Plaza’s character, will be a friend of David’s who is struggling with drug and alcohol abuse. Interestingly, Lenny is described as a “likeable and optimistic character,” because, you know, Plaza is known for playing happy characters.
Additionally, the lead role for the series was cast, with Dan Stevens of Downton Abbey fame set to play David Haller, the show’s protagonist. FX describes Stevens’ character as being very depressed, until he “meets the girl of his dreams…so could this be Lenny?
Also cast was veteran actress Jean Smart, set to play a psychiatrist named Melanie.
Smart, Stevens, and Plaza all join Fargo’s Rachel Keller, who was cast in the series a month ago.
We love Janet Snakehole, aka April Ludgate, aka Aubrey Plaza, and we can’t wait to see her take on a new and different role.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all things Legion and X-Men.
