X-Men fans will get an early chance to see Rogue’s subplot restored in last year’s Days of Future Past.

[dropcap size=small]B[/dropcap]ack in September, Fox announced that an extended cut of X-Men: Days of Future Past was in the works. The cut will include a present day Rogue (Anna Paquin) storyline, which will see her aid her former enemy Magneto (Ian McKellen) in keeping the sentinels at bay, and take over from Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page) as she begins to lose her powers (as seen above). Bryan Singer cut the subplot for ‘narrative purposes‘, and now after months of waiting for it, The Rogue Cut has a release date.

San Diego will see it first. The Rogue Cut hits Comic-Con on July 11th, and can be seen at the Reading Cinema at 8 p.m. Fans who are able to get tickets to one of the four screenings will also receive limited edition 3-D lithographs which mark 15 years of live-action X-Men.

X-Men: Days of Future Past: The Rogue Cut goes on sale to the general public on July 14th.
