World War Z sequel might be happening, especially with the latest exciting news that the director of Gone Girl, Se7ven and The Social Network, David Fincher might be joining the team as the director.
Fincher wasn’t super into the idea at first but has seemed to have reconsidered. An article posted by Variety reports that the director closed the deal and should start working on the World War Z sequel early next year.
World War Z follows Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt), a United Nations employee who finds himself along with his family to be stuck in a zombie outbreak that threatens to wipe out humanity.
The 2013 zombie apocalyptic film saw a $540 million global box office.
Filming is to begin in 2018.
