Could Black Widow be getting caught up in Spider-Man’s web?
[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]photographer scoping out the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming – which is currently being filmed in Atlanta – teased us with a tweet (via Epic Stream) that suggests Scarlett Johnasson was on set, which can only lead us to the conclusion that Black Widow will be popping up at some point during the new web-slinger’s antics.
Well, well… hi Scarlett. What’cha doing here?

Whilst the tweet is pretty vague with no visual evidence to back it up, Atlanta Filming is known for keeping note of film sets and such things in and around Atlanta. The fact that rumours were spreading about Johansson being in the area prior the tweet also adds more credibility to the suggestion.
However, it is important to note that nothing has been confirmed yet, and Johansson may have very well just been visiting the set rather than participating (which does sometimes happen). But it seems quite likely that if she was there, it’d be to bring Widow into Spider-Man’s web.
Tom Holland’s Spidey-senses will be tingling in 2017 when he takes up the famous red and blue suit for his first solo film, and we’re already pretty excited about this new Spider-Man thanks to his great cameo appearance in Captain America: Civil War earlier this year.
We already know Robert Downey Jr. will be making a cameo as Iron Man – which makes sense given his connection to the web-slinger in Civil War – and rumours are also spreading that Captain America may be involved too.
With two other MCU films (Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2 and Thor: Ragnarok) scheduled to hit the big screens next year along with Homecoming, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man would be the most likely to see Black Widow make an appearance, so we wouldn’t be so surprised if the rumour turns out to be true.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is due for release 7 July, 2017.
