Ubisoft confirms Watch Dogs 2 and serves up some insight into their newest title.
[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]head of E3, the folks at Ubisoft dropped a cinematic reveal trailer for their latest hack-tastic sequel title, Watch Dogs 2. Check it out below:
The second Watch Dogs title promises to be bigger and better than ever before, and will now take place in the San Francisco Bay area, with players donning the shoes of a brand new anti-hero by the name of Marcus Holloway:
The San Francisco Bay Area is your living playground and hacking is your weapon to bend the city – and its people – to your will. Step into the shoes of Marcus Holloway, a brilliant hacker, and journey to pull off the Hack of the Century: a crippling shutdown of ctOS 2.0, an invasive technology used by the powerful to silently control everyday citizens. Watch_Dogs 2 will be available on PlayStation®4 system, Xbox One, and Windows PC on November 15, 2016.
A world premiere debut video was also released, which served up a big helping of information about the game:
They’ve certainly given us a lot to chew over prior to E3 next week – during which we’ll no doubt learn a lot more about the new title. Just by going on what they’ve unvieled so far, it’s certainly already looking quite promising.
Watch Dogs 2 is due for release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, 15 November, 2016. You can learn more about the game during Ubisoft’s conference at E3 on 13 June, at 1pm PDT.
