As stated in the trailer Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is based off of the sci-fi graphic novel of the same name. Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne will play Valerian and Laureline, a pair of special operatives who have been charged with maintaining order in the Universe.
The film will be directed by Luc Besson and will star Dane DeHaan, Cara Delevingne, Clive Owen, and John Goodman.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 21, 2017.
