‘Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection’ hits the Playstation Store Earlier Than Planned

Due to an error or a miscommunication, Naughty Dog’s Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is leaked on the Playstation Store.

[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap] banner for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection popped up on the Playstation Store’s mobile site yesterday. It was only possible to see the banner on the mobile site and apparently you could only see it if you lived in the United States. Since then however, the banner has been taken down.

It is believed that the banner was put up prematurely and by accident. This possible explanation is supported due to the fact that if you click onto the art, you’ll receive an error message.

For some time now, it has been rumored that the first three Uncharted games would be brought together and combined to create a collection of the series. Taking into account that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is anticipated for a release during the Spring of 2016, it makes sense that a collection of the series would be released beforehand so that gamers who haven’t played the game have the opportunity to do so.

Neil Druckmann, the co-director for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End at Naughty Dog, confirmed the release of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection with a tweet that said:

“Well… that hit a few hours too early. See you in the AM. G’night y’all.”

Since then, Naughty Dog’s twitter account confirmed the release date of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection earlier today with a tweet that said:

“Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection arrives on PS4 October 9, 2015.”
