Considering the massive success Disney had with Tron: Legacy, making another film in the series only makes sense.
[dropcap size=small]N[/dropcap]ews about Tron 3 broke when Vancity Buzz revealed that principle photography is set to start on October 5, 2015. The Tron crew is expected to return to Vancouver, Canada to shoot, and the only confirmed returning actor signed on to the project is Garrett Hedlund.
With the way that Legacy ended, it might be safe to assume that Olivia Wilde and Bruce Boxleitner will be returning as well. Both actors have expressed interest in the past, so it should only be a matter of time before we get the official word. Also, it wouldn’t be a Tron movie without the legendary Jeff Bridges. He has to come back.
“I’m Kevin Flynn, man.”
.
Lastly, Joseph Kosinski will be reclaiming his seat in the director’s chair and has already been trying to build some hype about the project, claiming that Tron 3 will be the “Empire Strikes Back” of the series. What he should be doing is working on getting Daft Punk to return for the soundtrack.
