During this new year’s New York Toy Fair (going on now from Feb 22 – Feb 25), we got all sorts of cool announcements on upcoming collectibles. From Funko to Hasbro to everyone in between, collectors are starting to get excited about what they can pick up and add to their growing collections of plastic and vinyl. Then there’s Netflix, who decided to drop a toy-turned-series into an awesome anime series exclusively on their streaming service.
In the midst of ongoing war on Cybertron, forces of good and evil clash as they search for the source of their power: the Allspark. This may not be the life they imagined, but it’s a life worth fighting for. Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy: Siege is coming soon, only on Netflix. – Netflix
War for Cybertron: Siege follows the conclusion of the animated web series Prime Wars that finished up in 2018, just before the closing of Machinima the following year. WfC is animated by its successor, Rooster Teeth and set to exclusively debut on Netflix in 2020.
Consisting of six 22 minute episodes, Siege will wrap and be followed by War for Cybertron: Earthrise, where the battleground shifts from Cybertron to earth. The third and final entry in the trilogy is yet to receive an official name.
