This week at the Trailer Park we have more Batman, a treasonous CIA operative, and a rag-tag team of mutants!
Batman: The Killing Joke
This dark, grim animated movie (the second ever R-rated DC film) has Batman on the hunt yet again for the Clown Prince of Crime, Joker, as he attacks the Gordon family so he can prove a masterfully evil point, similar to his own decent into madness.
Batman: The Killing Joke sees the return of fan-favorite voice actors Mark Hamill as Joker, Kevin Conroy as Batman/Bruce Wayne, and Ray Wise as Commissioner Gordon. The film is slated to be released later on this year.
Snowden
This politically-charged thriller tells the untold, true story of Edward Snowden, a former CIA employee who exposed the NSA’s shocking illegal surveillance activities and becomes one of the world’s most wanted men overnight. He’s considered a hero to some, and a traitor to others, but no matter which you believe, the tale of how he pulled it off makes it one of the most compelling movies of the year.
Snowden stars Joseph Gordon Levitt, Nicholas Cage, Shailene Woodley, and Scott Eastwood, and hits theaters on September 16th.
X-Men: Apocalypse
In one of the most anticipated films of the year, X-Men: Apocalypse shows the coming of the very first mutant, Apocalypse. Since the dawn of civilization, he was always worshiped as a god. Now, he has amassed the powers and skills of 4 other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. As the fate of the world hangs in the balance, Mystique must unite the remaining X-Men against the greatest foe they’ve ever faced or face ultimate destruction.
X-Men: Apocalypse stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn, Lucas Till, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexandra Shipp, Josh Helman, Lana Condor, and Ben Hardy. The film premiers everywhere on May 27th.
