This week at the Park, we have a long awaited Civil War, some talking animals, and dudes on a mission to take down the big banks of America.

Captain America: Civil War

The words I write to you know can not do this trailer justice.

Ending one of Marvel’s most successful trilogies to date, Captain America: Civil War takes place after Age of Ultron and pits Cap against Iron Man in an all out brawl over whether or not superheroes should be accountable for the destruction they cause while trying to help. The Avengers are split down the middle, one side led by Captain America who wishes to operate without regulation, and the other led by Iron Man who supports government oversight. On Captain America’s side we see Falcon, the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Ant-Man (who was not seen in the trailer) and in Iron Man’s corner we see War Machine, Vision, Black Widow, and Black Panther, whose costume looked awesome in the trailer. We also see the return of Hulk antagonist Thunderbolt Ross, who is always a fun guy to have in a movie.

Absent from the trailer were Crossbones, Baron Zemo, and Spider-Man so it will be interesting to see how these characters fit into the storyline.

Even if you’ve seen the trailer before, watch it again and bask in its glory.

Captain America: Civil War stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chadwick Boseman, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Emily VanCamp, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, Daniel Brühl, and Tom Holland and hits theaters May 6th, 2016.

Zootopia

Zootopia is a modern mammal metropolis, hustling and bustling with animals from every walk of life. There are tons of neighborhoods including Sahara Square and Tundratown that house any animal, from the elephant to the mouse and anything in between. Office Judy Hopps is the first bunny on the police force comprised of mostly large, tough looking animals so she has to prove to them that she can do the job just like they can. To do this, she teams up with the fast-talking, scam artist fox Nick Wilde and has to solve a case in 48 hours.

And if that sloth smiling doesn’t brighten your day, I don’t know what will.

Zootopia stars Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Shakira, Idris Elba, J.K. Simmons, Nate Torrence, Jenny Slate, Tommy Chong, Octavia Spencer, and Alan Tudyk and hits theaters March 4th, 2016.

The Big Short

The Big Short follows four outsiders in the world of finance who predicted the housing market and banking crash and the general downward turn of the economy in the 2000s and decided to use this information to take on big banks and their greed. Their investments lead them into the shadier portion of banking where the four must be skeptical of everything and everyone around them to try and stay safe. The movie is based off of the 2010 book of the same name.

The Big Short stars Christian Bale, Steve Carrell, Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt, Melissa Leo, Marisa Tomei, Tracy Letts, Finn Wittrock, and Hamish Linklater and hits theaters December 11th, 2015.
