FREEDOM!
The time-traveling mutant from the future has finally been cast. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Josh Brolin is set portray Cable in Deadpool 2.
Brolin is best known for his roles in No Country for Old Men, W., and Men in Black 3. He is also the voice and likeness for Thanos, the big bad Mad Titan of the MCU who will finally reveal himself to Earth’s Mightest Heroes in Avengers: Infinity War.
So yep, Brolin will be playing two different Marvel characters, something that our boy Ryan Reynolds was quick to point out on Twitter.
The fuck, Fox! You can’t play 2 characters in the same universe!! Josh Brolin was in Sicario and I was in Sabrina The Teenage Witch. pic.twitter.com/AQCRp1aWKg

The search for the right actor to play Cable has been long and well documented. I’m not joking when I say nearly every middle-aged white actor in Hollywood was rumored to play Cable at some point over the last few months. Seriously, type “Cable” in our search bar.
Brolin is an awesome talent, but I’m much more excited since the Geek Outpost staff no longer have to write articles about who might be playing Cable.
WE’RE FREE! WE’RE FINALLY FREE!
Anyway, the hotly anticipated sequel to Deadpool sees Ryan Reynolds return as the titular Merc with a Mouth, and newcomer Zazie Beetz playing Domino. David Leitch will direct the film, taking over from Tim Miller.
Deadpool 2 hits theaters in 2018.
