While Tarantino and Ridley Scott got snubbed…
The nominees for the 88th Academy Awards were revealed this morning, and leading the pack is The Revenant with 12 nominations, and Mad Max: Fury Road, which isn’t far behind with 10.
The Martian, Bridge of Spies, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens also received a number of nods, with seven, six, and five, respectively.
Notably, Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight was denied Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay nominations, and The Martian’s Ridley Scott didn’t receive a Best Director nod either. Bummer…
