War is coming.
After teasing everyone with a 15 second first-look, Legendary has finally released the first full trailer for the upcoming Warcraft film.
Check it out below.
The trailer was first revealed last Friday during the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2015, an annual event celebrating Blizzard Entertainment’s games, including World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and the new shooter Overwatch.
A film adaptation of Warcraft, the successful series of PC strategy games developed by Blizzard, has been in development as early as 2006. However, due to script changes and rotating directors, the project did not begin production until 2013.
Warcraft is directed by Duncan Jones (Source Code), and will follow both humans and orcs as the initial conflict between the two races in Azeroth is explored.
The cast includes Travis Fimmel as Sir Anduin Lothar, Ben Foster as Magus Medivh, Robert Kazinsky as Orgrim Doomhammer, Toby Kebbell as Durotan, and Paula Patton as Garona Halforcen.
Blizzard is very involved with the film, Duncan Jones is an awesome director, and the effects look incredible. Could Warcraft be one of the first truly great video game movies? We’ll have to wait and see.
Warcraft hits theaters on June 10, 2016.
