Amazon Prime Video’s hit superhero series The Boys is teasing a reunion for fans of Supernatural, with plans of bringing together several core cast members from The CW’s long-running fantasy drama.

The announcement comes from a recent Instagram post from the official account from The Boys, shows Jensen Ackles calling on Supernatural co-stars Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins, stating “we got work to do“, which leaves Misha confused about what it is the trio needs to be doing before the shows title card appears.

The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke, who originally created Supernatural and guided it through its early seasons, brought over a handful of actors from Supernatural and slotted them into The Boys universe for major and minor appearances in Amazon’s hit superhero show. Jim Beaver, for example, played a hunter named Bobby Singer in Supernatural, and was one of the first to join in a recurring/supporting role as Robert Singer, a politician in The Boys universe. Later, Jensen Ackles made his explosive debut as Soldier Boy in Season 3 while Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who portrayed Supernatural’s John Winchester, joined the cast in Season 4 as Joe Kessler.

Rumors have swirled for months that Jared Padalecki will portray Vikor, The Boys’ universe equivalent of Thor, though this has not yet been officially confirmed. Meanwhile, details surrounding Misha Collins’ role remain under wraps, but we expect an official confirmation announcement is likely follow shortly after this news of Padalecki and Collins joining the show.

With The Boys preparing to wrap up its core story, Kripke is clearly orchestrating a long-awaited reunion of the Winchester family and their allies in the superhero adjacent, blood-soaked world he and his team have built. No doubt, Supernatural fans are eager to see just how these beloved actors fit into the dark, satirical superhero universe.

The Boys’ fifth and final season began filming this past November of 2024 and the first episode is expected to debut exclusively on Amazon Prime Video at some point early in 2026. But the universe of The Boys will continue on with several planned spin-off shows already in the works. As to who survives and continues as their respective character(s) in the future, is anyone’s guess. We expect many of the aforementioned cast to be killed off sooner rather than later.
