One thing that you can take from this trailer is the beauty of the graphics. The visuals of Tekken 7 is downright gorgeous. The previous Tekken games evolved as the years went on, but Tekken 7 trumped its predecessors completely. The facial expressions are authentic, textures are more believable, and the special effects are as vibrant as ever.
The beginning of the trailer displayed some familiar clips; but quickly dropped some new scenes as the music began to turn up. The music score and announcer of this trailer fit the more serious tone that Bandai Namco was going for. The theme is “The best fights are personal”. Heihachi always desire complete domination; therefore what better way to demonstrate that by invading enemy lines, the Mishima Zabatsu, all by himself. Reminds me of what Kazuya did back in the intro of Tekken 4.
The trailer also displayed random clips of characters as the narrator reveals potential goals of the characters displayed on screen to send the message home. Fights are only the best when things are personal. But one big thing I want you take from this trailer is the fact that the narrator mentioned that sacrifices will be made in order to met ones’ objective. With that said fans are getting this feeling that someone could die in this sequel. It is rare for fighting games to have such a strong focus on story at the start. But for fans of the franchise many questions need to be answered. Check out a live reaction video of a fan to see the hype. However, if you prefer to focus only on the trailer then feel free to select the original trailer below, the second video, to see how personal this war between Jin, Kazuya, and Heihachi is going to be.
