Starfire & Red Hood being teased for ‘Injustice 2’

Put to a vote, only one Red Hood was left standing. Starfire

[dropcap size=small]C[/dropcap]reative director Ed Boon at NetherRealm Studios recently took to Twitter, posting a poll and asked fans “Which Red Hood do you think should be in Injustice 2?”

Below are the results of the poll:

Before the fallen Robin became the Red Hood, the Joker was a small-time criminal known as the Red Hood until he fell into some chemicals that tore his psyche apart until all that was left was anarchy and laughter. It’s a rather odd question to be asking considering that Joker is dead in the Injustice universe. However, it makes for what could be a really interesting dynamic if Jason Todd, aka Red Hood, was a part of the story rather than just DLC. Jason has yet to be killed off in the Injustice: God Among Us comic, which is a prequel that leads up to the events of the first game.

However, all of this should be taken with a grain of salt because of Ed Boon himself. As lovable as Boon can be, he is infamous for being a troll considering how he’ll tease fans on Twitter with vague responses on who could be in his games. He also loves to do polls frequently and he did another Injustice 2 poll as “just for fun” but seemed like an indication for gauging what fans want since it was only a day after Red Hood.

Below is the poll:

After seeing the results, Boon tweeted “Poll results = So you guys really wanna see Starfire in Injustice 2. Duly noted.” Once again, none of these characters have been killed off in the Injustice comic tie-in. As someone close to both Jason and Dick Grayson, who was killed in the Injustice universe, she’s also a good contender for story mode than rather DLC. It would be fascinating to see her fight against former Teen Titan members Cyborg and Raven if they make appearances again in Injustice 2. Even though Starfire won, I wouldn’t dismiss the possibility of Constantine and Black Manta being possible characters.

The characters confirmed at this point in time are, in alphabetical order:

  1. Aquaman
  2. Atrocitus
  3. Batman
  4. Blue Beetle
  5. Flash
  6. Gorilla Grodd
  7. Supergirl
  8. Superman
  9. Wonder Woman

Injustice 2 is set to be released during 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Check out the video below to see the officical gameplay reveal trailer!

I was born, I pooped myself a bunch, I cried, took my first step, and then at the young age of eight my dad showed me a little film by the name of Pulp Fiction. My mind was blown. From that moment I learned to appreciate film on another level. To put it simply, I love movies.
