Excelsior!
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he legend himself, Stan Lee, has only added to his legacy with the Marvel movie cameos. Whether he be janitor, security guard, or a strip club DJ, the creator of some of Marvel’s most iconic characters has reached a near mythical level among Marvel fans. Recently, while speaking at Fan Expo 2016, via ComicBook.com, Stan Lee responded to fan questions. When asked by a fan about his cameos he responded:
“I can’t make out what he said, but it sounded like it came from the heart. I want to do more cameos also, I’ve even let people know it doesn’t have to be a Marvel movie, I don’t know why DC hasn’t called me. They could use me!”
This could be misconstrued as a Marvel man taking a shot at the struggling DCEU. The more likely scenario is just Stan Lee expressing his love for his cameos. Of course Lee would be open to more of them, and saying that DC could use Lee isn’t a knock on them, it’s just him letting them know that he’s available.
However, there is probably no way that Lee makes a cameo in the DCEU. Why would a competing company place their competition’s schtick in their productions. DC and Warner Brothers have even sworn off the controversial end-credits scenes that are as much as a Marvel staple as Stan Lee’s cameos.
Love or hate Lee’s cameos, they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, so here’s a video showcasing them all:
