Spyro Trilogy Remaster Gets New Screenshots, Continues to Look Glorious

Spyro the Dragon returns in the “Reignited” trilogy later this year, but how is it shaping up? Visually, it’s impressive. And we can’t wait to return back to the wonderful world of dragons trapped in crystals.

The side-by-side comparison between the original PS1 version and the PS4 remaster in the tweet above looks impressive. The is one of those games that we definitely can not wait to get our hands on. Heck, we may even pre-order in confidence!

Although we have yet to see any enhanced or altered gameplay, and we likely will not since the game promises to be as magical as the originals, will have a remastered soundtrack and clearly some enhanced visuals that resemble a bit of Sea of Thieves and maybe even some Fortnite in there (we can see it). The new title will be completely redone using Unreal Engine 4, the most current commercially available version of UE.

The Reignited Trilogy, which contains the original Spyro, Ripto’s Rage, and Year of the Dragon in one set comes out on PS4 and XBO this September 21, 2018
