While everyone rides out their Star Wars high, here’s a little bit of news for the Trekkies… and all the Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff players too for that matter.

[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]s we previously reported, Tiny Co’s Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff is currently having a Star Trek themed in-game event. Over the last few weeks players have had the opportunity to earn new Star Trek themed items for their Quahog, and new Trekkie characters have been popping up in the game every week.

A few days ago the most recent software update introduced a brand new premium character: SPOCK!

Upon entering the game after the update, users were treated to a special message entitled: In Remembrance of Leonard Nimoy.

“Leonard Nimoy has inspired millions across the planet to follow their dreams and reach out for the stars. We will always remember him as the legendary Spock.”

Along with the option to purchase Spock as a playable character for about $10 (worth it), a free Leonard Nimoy memorial statue was also introduced into the game as a new decoration piece.

Not only is it awesome to have Spock walking around your town, but for the first time ever Tiny Co. is donating a portion of the proceeds to the Nimoy Foundation in his honor. Very cool.

Spock has a wide range of actions that he can perform while walking around Quahog, some of them cooler than others. At least according to Peter Griffin.

Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff’s Star Trek event will be going on for the next couple of weeks. That might not be enough time to earn all of the previously released freemium characters like William Riker, Geordi LaForge, or Data, but you can definitely still buy Mr. Spock. He’ll be available until the event ends on April 30th.
