Spider-Man: Homecoming Trailer #3, New Posters, show the dangers of being a Hero

by

An extended look into the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming film exposes the threats and perils of being a teenage superhero.

Take a look at the latest trailer below. But be warned; the trailer does show off quite a bit more footage than was previously released in the two trailers before it. So if you happen to have felt you had seen too much, maybe stay away from this one.

In addition to the new 2-minute trailer, a new official international poster was released to coincide with the hype surrounding the latest look into young Peter’s world of web-swinging.

We hesitate to be the ones to point out that some fans feel like this specific poster has a bit of a fan-made quality to it, even going so far as to referring to it as appearing a little ‘bootleg’.

Rman823: Gotta admit the more I look at this poster the more it reminds me of those fake bootleg covers that add characters who aren’t actually in the movie.

Tandyty: Looks…fanmade

Klutch15: that… does not look nice…

HTTVChannel: This is awful. Straight up awful. Like, way worse than most theatrical posters.
Where’d Sony go wrong? They nailed the 3 teaser posters.
Zendaya with that top billing, tho…!

Of course no studio can please everyone, but I think we agree with the sentiment you read above, but that certainly doesn’t slow our hype train down even a bit. Heck, even the Star Wars: Rogue One posters received heavy criticisms and the movie knocked it out of the park.

Something else to note, is that Jon Favreau, while seen but not heavily featured in the trailers, is billed ahead of Robert Downey Jr. Even Zendaya appears to be listed as a top-billed cast member. It has been suggested in the past few months that sure, we see a lot of RDJ’s Tony Stark/Iron Man in the trailers, but that may be just about it. His character plays an integral role, but may not be in the movie as often as we have been lead to believe. Disappointing to some, if true, but remember that this is a Spider-Man movie and the focus should be how well this film does on its own coming off the heels of 2014’s Amazing Spider-Man 2. A lot is riding on this film, and Tom Holland appears to nail it around every turn given what we have seen of him so far. Expectations are high, and Homecoming looks to be on the right track to major success. We don’t need a ton of Iron Man on-screen for that, but any extra time we get of the playboy billionaire is of course, an absolute bonus.

Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters everywhere on July 7th and stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr, Jon Favreau, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly, and Marisa Tomei. The film is directed by Jon Watts.
