Spider-Man reboot film Logo/Title Officially Revealed, Vulture to be the Villain?

One of the recently leaked Spidey reboot titles is confirmed, Tom Holland talks about taking on the role of Peter/Spider-Man in Civil War.

It’s official, folks! Sony has revealed the name of the Spider-Man reboot, officially titled ‘Spider-Man Homecoming‘ – a name that could not be more fitting as the wall-crawler finally makes his way back to Marvel, joining their MCU and making his debut next month in Captain America: Civil War.

As to be expected, the title is clearly a reference to Spider-Man migrating back to Marvel, but also a nod to Peter’s youthfulness in the film as a teenager still in high school.

Take a look at the interview Tom Holland gave about his new web-slinging role during CinemaCon in Las Vegas yesterday.

Spider-Man Homecoming is set to be released on July 7 next year, directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car), whose directorial debut was made with 2014’s supernatural horror flick ‘Clown’ (yeah, we don’t know how he got the job to take on the Spidey reboot, but we trust Marvel on this one).

Joining Tom Holland are Marisa Tomei as the new Aunt May, and Zendaya Coleman as Michelle, a new character created just for the films. Additionally, rumor has it that the big bad villain in Homecoming could be the Vulture, a villain who was originally meant to be in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 4 with John Malkovich in the role of Adrian Toomes, aka Vulture, though this never came to light and the series was rebooted. These rumors have not been confirmed by any official sources.

Captain America: Civil War debuts on May 6, and stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Emily VanCamp, Tom Holland, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Daniel Brühl.

Spider-Man Homecoming will debut on July 7, 2017.
