Showtimes supernatural drama will return to Dublin for another season.

[dropcap size =small]F[/dropcap]ans of Penny Dreadful have been rewarded by Showtime with the announcement of season 3!
“Penny Dreadful is the perfect fit for Sky Atlantic; truly international in scale and ambition but with a raft of British talent at its core, and filmed in the Republic of Ireland.” said Zai Bennett, Director of Sky Atlantic. “I’m thrilled to have the series returning to the channel, and to once again be partnering with John Logan and continuing to work with our good friends at Showtime.”
This show features terrifying icons and creatures from classic novels, such as Dr. Frankenstein and his Creature, Dorian Gray and Dracula. The series, starring Eva Green, Josh Harnett and Timothy Dalton, will start shooting season 3 in Dublin, Ireland later this year.
Penny Dreadful was created by Oscar winner John Logan. The cast features Eva Green, Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton, Harry Treadway, Rory Kinear, Reeve Carney, Danny Sapani, Simon Russell Beale, Billie Piper, and Helen McCrory.
In season 2, Vanessa Ives (Green) and Ethan Chandler (Harnett) improve their relationship with their group, including Sir Malcolm (Dalton), Dr. Frankenstein (Harry Treadway), and Sembane (Danny Sapani) in order to band together and fight against evil that threatens to destroy them and their lands. The evil that threatens them are coordinated by Evelyn Pope (Helen McCrory).
Season 3 will have nine-episodes and will premiere in 2016.
