Does Sharon Stone literally have a ‘wee part?’
[dropcap size=small]S[/dropcap]haron Stone recently revealed she has landed herself a part in an upcoming Marvel movie. In an interview with James Corden, Stone announced she would be joining the Marvel cinematic ‘verse, but was very tight-lipped about which Marvel movie she was set to be a part of:
“I am going to do a Marvel movie…I’m just doing a wee part in a Marvel movie, upcoming, and I can’t tell, because you know, you have to sign confidentiality agreements. But I’m going to do a wee part in a Marvel movie now. That’s it.”
Speculation has already been running rampant with assumptions that she will be in the upcoming Ant-Man sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp. Some have even gone as far as theorising that Stone’s repeated use of the word ‘wee’ is her way of subtly hinting as such, since Ant-Man follows the pursuits of a superhero of the very ‘wee’ variety.
Of course, this is just conjecture, but it seems to be a very real possibility. So far the casting for the sequel has been kept under wraps, with only leading man Paul Rudd, and returning cast members Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas currently listed in the billing.
Douglas’ involvement as Hank Pym also helps to add more credibility to the rumour, since Stone has worked with the actor in the past – most famously in the cult thriller Basic Instinct – so it’s very easy to imagine Stone getting on board with the project.
With many Marvel movies coming our way in future, Stone could be apart of any one of them, but it wouldn’t be so surprising if we see the actress pop up alongside Scott Lang and Hank Pym in 2018.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is slated for release 6 July, 2018.
