HIDIVE is excited to announce that this summer, the acclaimed global hit series 【OSHI NO KO】is set to return. And ahead of its highly anticipated second season premiere in July, fans received a handful of updates like new characters Aqua and Akane, broadcast details, a special Anime Expo celebration, and more.
Regarding the Anime Expo celebration, details were shared about HIDIVE’s special 【OSHI NO KO】 Season 2 plans for Anime Expo 2024, occurring July 4 – 7 in Los Angeles, Calif. The festivities on Saturday, July 6 will feature an anniversary screening of the 90-minute-long Season 1 first episode, which propelled the show to become HIDIVE’s most successful series launch. Following the screening, there will be a Japanese guest panel and the world premiere of 【OSHI NO KO】 Season 2 Episode 2. HIDIVE’s Star Butler will host the panel, welcoming special guests Yurie Igoma (voice of Ruby) and KADOKAWA series producer Shimpei Yamashita.
Season 2 of 【OSHI NO KO】 will be available exclusively on HIDIVE as part of its Summer 2024 simulcast lineup, accessible to subscribers in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

The storyline intensifies as Aqua’s quest for vengeance takes center stage in the entertainment world’s dark side, alongside his twin sister, Ruby. While Ruby strives to become an idol like their late mother, Aqua joins a renowned theater troupe to uncover the identity of his father, the orchestrator of their mother’s tragic death and a former star of the same troupe.
【OSHI NO KO】 is based on the award-winning seinen manga serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump, written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. The manga has reached 14 volumes with over 16.5 million copies in print. English editions are available in print and digital formats from Yen Press and digitally from Shueisha’s MANGA Plus.
Season 2 is directed by Daisuke Hiramaki and Ciao Nekotomi, with writing by Jin Tanaka, character design by Kanna Hirayama, and animation by Doga Kobo. The Japanese cast features returning stars Takeo Ōtsuka as Aqua Hoshino, Yurie Igoma as Ruby Hoshino, Megumi Han as Kana Arima, Manaka Iwami as Akane Kurokawa, Rumi Ōkubo as Mem-Cho, and Seiji Maeda as Melt Narushima, along with new additions Koki Uchiyama as Daiki Himekawa and Yusuke Kobayashi as Sakuya Kamoshida.
