Sceptile is Coming to ‘Pokkén Tournament’

The Gen 3 starter is heading to the currently Japan-only arcade fighter.

It has been confirmed that Sceptile will join the roster of the Pokémon fighting game Pokkén Tournament.

Sceptile is the evolved form of Treeko and Grovyle, and is the final-stage Grass-type starter from the Hoenn region.

The Forest Pokémon will utilize a number of its signature moves in battle, including Leaf Blade, as well as the ability to Mega-Evolve into Mega-Sceptile, a more formidable Grass-Dragon type.

Pokkén Tournament is currently as Japan-exclusive arcade fighting game that is set to eventually come West on the Wii U.

Other playable Pokémon in the game include Machamp, Lucario, Suicune, Pikachu, Weavile, Gengar, Charizard, Gardevoir, Blaziken, Pikachu Libre, and Shadow Mewtwo.

Will Sceptile come to Smash Bros. next? A man can dream.

Pokkén Tournament will come to the Wii U in 2016.
