The samurai finally returns next month.
All the way back in December, 2015, it was announced that Samurai Jack would return to Cartoon Network via Adult Swim for a brand new season.
We haven’t heard much about this new season since, but we now have official confirmation that Samurai Jack season 5 will premiere on Saturday, March 11 at 11:30 p.m. ET.
The news comes by way of a brief teaser trailer, which shows Jack grimacing in the rain.
ALSO (2/06/17): The first full trailer for season 5 has been revealed. Check it out below.
Samurai Jack follows the titular warrior (voiced by Phil LaMarr) as he attempts to return home to Feudal Japan after being transported by the demon Aku (voiced by the late Mako Iwamatsu) to the distant future, where Aku rules all.
The series initially ran from 2001-2004, but was cancelled before it could receive a proper ending.
Beloved by critics and fans, Samurai Jack is one of the greatest animated series of all time, and we hope this will be the ending the series deserves.
Samurai Jack season 5 hits Adult Swim on March 11.
