Go big or go home with Adam McKay’s all-star cast in The Big Short.
[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]hat do you get when you cross an all-star cast with the author of The Blind Side and Moneyball, then add in director Adam McKay? You get a movie that is going to shake up not only the AFI Fest, and give Black Mass and The Danish Girl a run for best picture.
Adam Mckay’s film The Big Short, for those who don’t know, is about the housing crash of 2008, and a couple of ‘bond and real estate derivative geeks’ bet that the housing economy will crash, and end up winning the jackpot. The film is based on the novel by Michael Lewis, author of The Blind Side. The trailer for the film can be seen at the link below.
The film is set to have a limited theatre release December 11th, but has a premiere at the AFI Fest on November 12th, at the TCL Chinese Theatre.
