Cross-promotion is getting more and more creative. The newest form comes from the popular car service app Uber and Transformers: Age of Extinction.
If you’re in Dallas on June 16 from 1pm-7pm, Phoenix on June 19 from 1pm-7pm, or Los Angeles on June 21 from 1pm-7pm you can request a ride from Optimus Prime himself!
Requesting a ride is simple:
1. Log in to the Uber app.
2. Select AUTOBOTS.
3. Tap SET UP PICKUP LOCATION.
4. Tap ROLL OUT!
The one thing to be mindful of is that there is only one Optimus Prime, so be persistent! If you happen to be one of the lucky few that gets picked up, you will be driven around in the customized Western Star 5700 truck for a complimentary 15-minute once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Obviously gas prices are ridiculous, so people outside of the three cities can feel free to follow the truck around online using the hashtag #UberTransformers on Twitter and Instagram.
