The Resident Evil movie franchise is now back from the dead. Information regarding the return of the cast from the previous RE movies is currently being kept a secret. Martin Moszkowicz, chairman of the board at Constantin Film, did mention at the Cannes Film Festival that the RE reboot is in the works. With that said, the team must own the rights to the franchise in order to do work on this film.
The previous movies were quite successful. The director behind the six previously released Resident Evil movies was Paul Anderson. It is also worth noting that Milla Jovovich has starred in every single installment. Despite the success of the films the return of Anderson, Jovocich, and other notable members of the cast is still unclear.
