Lionsgate is very confident in Power Rangers‘ ability to perform well at the box office.
[dropcap size=small]J[/dropcap]ust how good is the upcoming Power Rangers film going to be? Apparently it’s going to be really good, at least according to Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer. In a conference call with analysts, Jon Feltheimer said Lionsgate is “really, really excited about the ‘Power Rangers’ movie” and the company could see themselves “doing five or six or seven.”
Lionsgate’s CEO pointed out the overall positive feedback the company received for the new costumes that were revealed several weeks ago and the high amount of interest fans have for the reboot. The new suits will crystallize over the Power Rangers when needed. Unlike the previous Power Rangers’ costumes that were essentially tights and plastic, these new suits will be made up of several different kinds of material and CGI.
Power Rangers stars Becky G (Yellow Ranger), Ludi Lin (Black Ranger), Naomi Scott (Pink Ranger), Dacre Montgomery (Red Ranger) and RJ Cyler (Blue Ranger). Elizabeth Banks is set to play the villainous Rita Repulsa and Dean Israelite will be directing the film.
Power Rangers will be in theaters March 24th, 2017.
