The Legend Returns!

Originally release in Japan in 1999, Pokemon Gold and Silver were available in North America the following year in the fall and in Europe during the spring of 2001.

Along with its release for 3DS Virtual Console, the games will continue the original appearance and outlook just as if it would if played on the Game Boy Color.

Pokemon Red and Blue, and Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition, Gold and Silver will also be compatible with the 3DS wireless communication feature, allowing Link Trades and Link Battles between the Virtual Console versions.

The game is set to release September 22 which is also the same day Pokken Tournament DX will be released exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.

Expect to hear more next week during the Nintendo Spotlight stream at 9am PT, 12pm ET, 5pm BST, 6pm CEST on Tuesday, June 13.
