Saitama finally returns next year.

It’s been over three years since the first season, but the Caped Baldy is back. The second season of One Punch-Man has been officially confirmed (via Crunchyroll) to premiere in April 2019. Check out the official announcement trailer below.

One-Punch Man follows the immensely powerful (and bored) hero Saitama and his companion Genos, who enter the Hero Association to gain recognition for defeating giant monsters and other threats to their world.

Here’s the synopsis for season two:

Saitama is a hero who only became a hero for fun. After three years of “special training,” he’s become so strong that he’s practically invincible. In fact, he’s too strong—even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch. Now, the great seer Madame Shibabawa’s prediction about the Earth being doomed seems to be coming true as the frequency of monster incidents escalates. Alongside Genos, his faithful disciple, Saitama begins his official hero duties as a member of the Hero Association, while Garou, a man utterly fascinated by monsters, makes his appearance.

Along with the announcement trailer, a key art poster for season 2 featuring Saitama, Genos, and Garou was revealed as well.

We’re huge fans of the first season of One-Punch Man, and even though it’s been a while, we’re very excited to check in with Saitama.

One-Punch Man season 2 will air in Japan starting April 2019.
