PS4’s Dreams is an amazingly beautiful concept, one that allows creativity to flourish and artistic style to come to life. It also allows players to remake scenes from their favorite cult classic movies, like OpyGam3r chose to do with The Room.
Perhaps one of the most memorable scenes from the movie, keeping in mind that the whole movie is full of them, is the infamous “Oh hi Mark” scene where Tommy Wiseau’s Johnny is discussing with himself how he did not hit his girlfriend while venting on a rooftop before noticing Mark (played by Greg Sestero) is up there as well.
If you take a look at the comments of the YouTube post above, you can see that fans are demanding that the whole movie be remade in Dreams, something I had never considered before but now desperately want to happen.
If you aren’t familiar with Dreams or The Room, you need to rethink your whole life. First, you need to watch The Room as soon as possible. It is an unintentionally hilarious movie, easily one of the worst of all time to the point where it has reached massive cult classic status and even got turned into a major Hollywood film starring James and Dave Franco.
Secondly, if you have a PS4, you should look into Dreams right away. If you have ever wanted to build your own video game but lack the technological know-how or skillset, then Dreams is the game for you.
Limited only by your own creativity, Dreams is immensely powerful for a console game. Not only that, but there has been talk of a PC version coming soon, where games made on both platforms will allegedly be able to be shared with one another. Something that I personally am looking forward to.
Still need convincing? Remember that Playable Teaser called “P.T.” that debuted some years back on the PlayStation Network that teased the now-canceled Silent Hills title that featured Norman Reedus? That was remade in Dreams as well.
As the title of the game suggests, if you can dream it, you can do it. If you can think of it, you can make it. Dreams is where it’s at.
