Chill brah.
A new set of posters for the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming have hit the web.
Check them out below
While all of the posters feature Spidey hanging about NYC landmarks, to us the best poster is him laying down in front of the Avengers Tower wearing his Midtown School of Science & Technology jacket and headphones.
Let’s compare this new poster to the teaser poster for The Amazing Spider-Man (per Collider).
This new poster communicates an understanding of Spider-Man that the Amazing films couldn’t grasp: Spider-Man is Peter Parker, who is a dorky kid.
Having Parker listening to music in full Spider-Man gear shows us that this version of the character is, at the end of the day, just a kid. He’s got great power thrust upon him, but he’s still going to take time to lie-down and chill.
We’re hoping the new film really does indeed do a good job of capture the essence of Peter Parker’s character, and these posters show it’s certainly possible the movie will.
Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters on July 7.
