During the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Qualcomm Technologies and Lionsgate showed off Power Rangers Virtual Reality, a new VR experience to promote the upcoming live-action film.
While wearing VR goggles, you’re able to hop into each of the Ranger’s Zords in the setting shown below.
As you might have noticed in the image with the Rangers, we get our first glimpse of Alpha 5: friend of Zordon, and ally of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
While it’s not a very clear look at Alpha, this seems to confirm that concept art of the character for the movie that was released by IGN is really how he will look in the film.
So that means Alpha 5 is now a creepy Tim Burton-esque gremlin.
Look, we’ve made it fairly clear in the past that these character designs are not making us excited for the film, but hey, maybe, just maybe, these characters in action won’t be as distracting as they are now. Maybe.
Power Rangers mighty morphs into theaters on March 24.
