If you are a fan of Avatar the Last Airbender (AtLA for short) or Legend of Korra (LoK), then you have no doubt heard the rumblings that a handful of upcoming projects are in the works within the AtLA universe. From video games to movies to a Netflix live-action adaptation (Raava help us), there is a lot to be excited about. And now, according to reports from Avatar News, a new animated series is coming in 2025 featuring the next Avatar in the cycle.

Following The Legend of Korra, a Water Bender that followed after the events of Aang and the gang, an Earth Bender is next in the Avatar cycle (Fire, Air, Water, Earth, then the cycle repeats), and it seems that is the plan coming from Avatar Studios, if the reports are accurate. However, it should be noted that these alleged “inside scoops” are claiming that the show will also likely be a Paramount+ exclusive.
Avatar News has been covering a lot of details on what is cooking in the world of AtLA but so far, there has been no official confirmation from any official sources. At the present, the only thing we know for sure is that Netflix is delivering on their live-action series but beyond that, we will just have to wait and see what’s in store for the near future.
