[dropcap size=small]N[/dropcap]eil Blomkamp’s (District 9, Elysium, Chappie) next project will be a new Alien movie, he confirmed today via Instagram. He released the image below along with some text reading, “Um… So I think it’s officially my next film.”
Blomkamp had originally teased the idea back in December, but the deal was finally made official today when he signed a deal with 20th Century Fox. It’s worth noting that this will be a separate film from Ridley Scott’s upcoming Prometheus sequel.
Blomkamp’s upcoming Chappie hits theaters March 6.
