Unfortunately, it sounds like her character will no longer be featured in the Marvel Universe!
[dropcap size=small]D[/dropcap]espite not having any super powers, Jane Foster (played by Natalie Portman) was a crucial part to Thor’s story. But it seems like her role has diminished.
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Portman said that she is done with her role as Foster in the MCE.
“As far as I know, I’m done, I don’t know if maybe one day, they’ll ask for an Avengers 7 or whatever, but as far as I know, I’m done. It was a great thing to be a part of.”
Since her last role in Thor: The Dark World, nothing has come up to say that she was going to be in any movies in the near future. She was mentioned in Avengers: Age of Ultron when Thor was at Tony Stark’s party at the start of the movie. I would hope that I don’t have to wait for Avengers 7 for her return, but if I have to, I will.
For Foster to no longer be in the Marvel Universe is confusing, considering the fact that she played an important role in The Dark World. But it sounds like she would return to Marvel if they asked her about a possible return to be at Thor’s side.
