With a European trademark filed by Nintendo fans are jumping at the idea of a Nintendo 64 Classic.
[dropcap size=small]N[/droppcap]intendo’s Switch may be their primary console right now, that hasn’t held the company back from releasing classic editions of consoles from the past. The NES Classic Edition was launched in the fall of 2016 and Nintendo ended the production of the classic console earlier this year. After that, Nintendo moved forward with the Super NES Classic Edition, which will be available in stores come September 29. With Nintendo having released classic editions of two previous consoles it doesn’t seem that surprising that they would continue with the N64.
Both previously mentioned classic edition console will certainly sell fairly well due to the nostalgia of millions, and the fact that Nintendo is only producing a small amount means the demand will be very high. That being said, it isn’t too surprising that Nintendo MIGHT go forward with a Nintendo 64 Classic Edition. After all, who doesn’t want to play Super Smash Bros or Golden Eye with their friends, evoking childhood memories of the past?
