Next weekend, AMC Networks’ HIDIVE will once again descend upon Los Angeles like a swarm of cosplayers desperate for air conditioning. Anime Expo 2025 is upon us, and HIDIVE isn’t pulling any punches.
This year’s lineup is stacked like a collector’s shelf—overflowing with fan-favorite franchises, fresh premieres, and just enough Japanese guest stars to make your inner otaku squeal. From July 4th weekend onward, attendees will be treated to a smorgasbord of panels, premieres, previews, and Q&As featuring directors, producers, and voice actors who’ve probably been in more anime than you’ve seen.
Oh, and don’t forget to swing by HIDIVE’s exhibit booth (#SF13), where you can snag info, merch, and photo ops that will make your social media followers wonder how you scored so many selfies with cardboard cutouts.
Here’s what HIDIVE is dropping faster than a limited-edition Nendoroid:
- DanMachi 10th Anniversary Celebration: Yes, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is officially old enough to get its own retrospective. The anniversary event features a Q&A with chief producer Nobuhiro Osawa, who’s ready to spill secrets about a fantasy franchise that’s now five seasons deep and still asking the same pickup line.
- World Premiere of Bad Girl Episodes 1 & 2: This new comedy series is the delinquent energy your summer anime lineup needs. HIDIVE is rolling it out as a Summer 2025 simulcast exclusive, and this world premiere might just have you questioning your taste in fictional women.
- The Dangers in My Heart Movie Sneak Peek: Presented by HIDIVE and TV Asahi, this panel offers your first look at the compilation/sequel hybrid film that continues Kyotaro and Anna’s awkward love saga. Director Hiroaki Akagi and producers Yosuke Sakurai and Kazuki Endo will be on hand to answer your burning questions, probably while dodging demands for Season 3.
