Mortal Kombat X: First Look

While we’ll have to wait for E3 next week to see any actual gameplay footage, the trailer does give us our first look at Mortal Kombat on next-gen consoles.

There’s still little information available at the moment but this is what we know so far:

Slated for a 2015 release, the game is being published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and being developed by NetherRealm. It will be released for the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

The game will include online gameplay along with statistics and leaderboards. A bigger announcement however, may be that for the first time in franchise history different variations will be available for each character, which should usher in an entirely new strategy on how the game is played.

Check out the cinematic trailer:

The featured song is called “Can’t be Stopped,” by Wiz Khalifa.

Developed by NeatherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, MKX comes to Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC TBA 2015.
