[dropcap size=small]M[/dropcap]arvel brought out the big guns at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. As if debuting the trailer for Luke Cage wasn’t enough, Marvel decided to go ahead and debut the trailer for The Defenders that did not directly show but definitely implied that the street level heroes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist would be teaming up to take down an unknown enemy to save New York. While it is unclear if Jon Bernthal will make an appearance in the show as the Punisher, we’re relatively certain that Matt Murdock’s mentor Stick (Scott Glenn) will make an appearance on the show seeing as how his voice could be heard at the end of the teaser trailer. Could it be possible that Stick is The Defenders’ version of Nick Fury, keeping the street level heroes together and focused on the task at hand instead of fighting amongst themselves? Who knows, but one thing is certain, The Defenders is going to be one great show.
