Marvel’s Infinity War is going to be bigger than anyone could have anticipated.
[dropcap size=small]E[/dropcap]ven with Captain America: Civil War set to be released this upcoming May exciting new details have been released about Marvel’s biggest upcoming project yet, Infinity War. The movie, which will be released in two part-succession, isn’t expected to be out in theaters until May 4th, 2018 and when it does it will be bringing every Marvel Cinematic Universe character we’ve seen and more.
The expectations that fans are having for Avengers: Infinity War is infinitely high (sorry, it was too easy not to) and the Russo brothers have released the exact number of characters that will appear in the film. During a Q&A at Wizard World New Orleans Anthony Russo slipped up and called Hayley Atwell’s Marvel character Sharon Carter instead of Peggy Carter. Luckily Anthony Russo’s brother Joe came to his defense.
“We have so many characters we’re dealing with. We’re breaking ground on Avengers: Infinity War. We have a board with 67 characters on it. You have to forgive him.“
The biggest question about the 67 characters is just who the characters exactly are. Sure, we have the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, but that isn’t enough to be a total of 67 characters. Looks like we’ll have to wait until the rest of Marvel’s Phase Three movies are released.
Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 hits theaters on May 4, 2018, followed by Avengers: Infinity War Part 2 on May 3, 2019.
