The ever elusive Luke Skywalker explains why he has yet to make any appearance in The Force Awakens trailer!
[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]ith all of the trailers that we have seen of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, there are plenty of new and old characters spotted that we are all excited about. But one that has yet to be seen is Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker. Where is he and why haven’t we seen him yet?
In an interview with Empire (via Slashfilm), Hamill didn’t dip into much of his role, but made sure to let us know that we shouldn’t worry.
“Obviously you’re seeing him in a very different time in his life,” Hamill said of Skywalker. “There are lots of surprises in this movie. You’re going to love it.”
Hamill also spoke of how he was also shooting solo scenes for the movie. “It reminded me of when I was in Tunisia on the salt flats,” Hamill said. “If you could get into your own mind and shut out the crew and look at the horizon, you really felt like you were in a galaxy far, far away. I had that same wave of emotion happen to me when I was on Skellig Michael in Ireland. I wasn’t anticipating it.”
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released on December 18, where we will see Luke Skywalker’s role in this much anticipated movie!
