Nintendo will also be offering a special edition 3DS along with some other Majora’s Mask goodies.

Majora’s Mask was originally released in 2000 for Nintendo 64, serving as a darker follow-up to Ocarina of Time (which was also remade for the 3DS in 2011) and has since spawned a large cult following. “As we worked on the remake version, we set out to maintain the original level of challenge, while keeping the game accessible for anyone. So we also focused on making sure the gameplay experience was as smooth as possible,” said Nintendo President  Satoru Iwata. The announcement itself isn’t all that surprising, but definitely exciting!
