The Bride could return for another helping of revenge.
All of Quentin Tarantino’s films are stylish, but none ooze style, blood, and sheer joy like Kill Bill.
Fans of this two-part martial arts/revenge flick have been demanding a third volume since 2004, and now, it looks like it may finally come.
Tarantino, who is currently promoting his latest film The Hateful Eight, recently sat down with Variety, where he teased the possibility of Uma Thurman once more taking up her veil and katana as the Bride.
“I’m not committing to it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if The Bride made one more appearance before the whole thing is said and done,” Tarantino explained. “I am talking to Uma about it just a little bit. Some of the stuff that I’d written that never made it into the movie that maybe I could use.”
Tarantino has updated fans on the possibility of Kill Bill Vol. 3 with various levels of certainty for years, but this recent answer is the most hopeful response the acclaimed director has given.
If Tarantino does indeed move forward with a third film, it will probably be sooner than later. The director seems pretty keen on only making ten films, and The Hateful Eight was (coincidentally) his eighth.
Will Black Mamba return for more revenge? Or will Copperhead’s daughter seek justice for her mother’s death at the hands of the Bride?
Either way, we’re excited to see what Tarantino can think up for another stylishly brilliant entry in the Kill Bill series.
